(Oahu)–Artists Erik Abel, Heather Brown, Jay Alders and Martin Hsu have all joined forces with smart phone accessory maker Trü Protection to benefit organizations dedicated to helping noble causes such as disease and protecting the environment

These collaborations have resulted in the production of iPhone 4 and 5 cases, which display some original art by these artists (pictured).

“I first met with the owner of Power Support and Trü Protection here in Haleiwa and instantly we clicked, they are such great companies that mirror the values and business ethics that I do with my own business,” said local Haleiwa artist Heather Brown.

The cases also have a positive impact in the environment since they are made from 100% post consumer recycled plastics. “They are all made here in the USA and 15% of the proceeds of each sale will go to 3 great organizations that I have been working with for some time now, The Surfrider Foundation, The Kokua Foundation and Living Beyond Breast Cancer. If all of that isn’t enough, these are the best quality, lightweight cases on the market made by a US company that holds Trü to their values and runs a great happy business,” added Brown in a release.

The same can be said with Abel and the other artists featured in this campaign.

For example, the Erik Abel Collection donates 15% of the proceeds of each sale to Heal the Bay, working to help protect on of our most precious natural resources — coastal waters and watersheds.

Abel clearly believes in the maxim ‘all politics is local’: “Working with Trü Protection has been great. I love having my art on products that are not only eco-friendly but give back to organizations that are making a positive difference for our planet. A lot of companies create products from recycled materials, but supporting nonprofits with the products takes the impact to the next level.”

The cases are durable and a perfect fit for iPhones, the style of the art is sure to attract the attention of art connoisseurs and alternative art enthusiasts alike.

Drawing inspiration from technology, fashion and art trends worldwide, Trü Protection has a network of innovative minds all aiming to provide their customers with the products that are necessities for protection.
