Hawaiian Humane Society

For the past 130 years the Hawaiian Humane Society has provided a safe haven for homeless pets and has been a leader in animal welfare issues in Hawaii. The Hawaiian Humane Society offers 30 programs and services to promote the human-animal bond and humane treatment of all animals. On Oahu, the Hawaiian Humane Society is the only animal welfare organization that shelters, rescues, adopts and welcomes animals all day, every day. The nonprofit’s busy shelter on Oahu provides shelter and care to more than 27,000 animals each year. Their Moiliili campus isn’t just a place for animals in need; it’s also a community hub where animal lovers, pet owners and people young and old come together in the spirit of compassion, care and charity. One hundred percent of every donation stays in the islands for the benefit of Hawaii’s animals and people.

Why we love them: Hawaiian Humane fosters a strong human-animal bond on the islands.
